James Young, the No. 5 player in the ESPN 100, has made a name for himself playing with The Family AAU squad in Michigan. He is regarded as one of the nation’s elite scorers, boasting excellent size for a shooting guard at 6-foot-6. Young also has good athletic abilities and is a quality teammate and fierce competitor.

In the wake of his commitment Thursday to Kentucky, here's a detailed scouting report on the nation's No. 5 prospect.
