Iverson re-emerges as elite prospect

Kuran Iverson’s resurgence nationally in the Class of 2013 was one of the major headlines of this past summer.

Iverson, the cousin of former NBA All-Star Allen Iverson who committed to Memphis on Monday, had been a celebrated young prospect since he appeared at a University of Connecticut Elite Camp the summer before his freshman year of high school.

As a sophomore, his combination of size and natural skill had him ranked as high as the No. 2 prospect nationally in his class at one point, but that rating ultimately dipped all the way to the tail end of the ESPN 100 by the end of his junior year as he developed a reputation for underachieving.
