Biedrins to decline ETO
By Nick Borges
Golden State Warriors backup center Andris Biedrins owns an ETO (early termination option) in his contract and to no surprise he's not going to invoke it. As a result, Biedrins will earn $9 million next season and he won't be an unrestricted free agent until 2014.
“He will not opt out,” agent Bill Duffy told Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com.
Biedrins' trade value is very low, however general manager Bob Myers may be able to move him now since his contract does expire after next season. Biedrins was once a promising young center, but he has massively struggled the last few years. He averaged just 9.3 minutes, 0.5 points and 2.9 rebounds in 2012-13.
