Splitter hurt, will be back soon
By Nick Borges
Tiago Splitter had to leave the game against the Lakers on Friday in the third quarter after he sprained his left ankle. Luckily for him and the Spurs, it's only a short-term injury.
According to the San Antonio Express-News, the Spurs' starting center should return in 7-10 days.
The Spurs are expected to sweep the Lakers out of the playoffs on Sunday and then they will wait for the winner of the Denver-Golden State series. That could go six or seven games, which means Splitter could be back in time for Game 1 of the second round.
Head coach Gregg Popovich will likely start DeJuan Blair at center on Sunday against the Lakers.
