Patterson's numerous injuries
By Joe Kaiser
Sacramento forward Patrick Patterson didn't play on Wednesday, despite being listed as "probable" before the Kings game against New Orleans, as he continues to deal with two injuries.
Officially, it was a sore lower back that kept Patterson out against the Hornets, but Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee points out that the third-year forward has also been nursing a sore right thumb in recent weeks. Though Patterson is able to play with the thumb injury, it seems to have affected his shooting.
"I just wear the tape on it because I'm trying to get used to it, work on my shooting form," Patterson said. "The tape has helped me in practice, but as far as in games, I've been missing too many shots. It's something I'll probably finish out the season with, with the tape."
