Drummond's role when he returns
By Nick Borges
UPDATE: The Pistons have confirmed that Andre Drummond will slide right into the starting lineup when he returns from his back injury on Friday. Even though his minutes may be limited, fantasy owners could roll the dice on Drummond right away in his new role.

Andre Drummond will likely make his return to the Detroit Pistons active on Friday and while his minutes will initially be monitored, his role might change.
Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press writes: "Don’t be surprised if he starts alongside Greg Monroe, who would move to power forward, although his minutes will gradually increase through the rest of the season."
Drummond, despite his strong play during his rookie season, came off the bench prior to the back injury. It does make sense to use the final 20 days of the season see how he and Monroe can work together as it will help Joe Dumars formulate his strategy for the off-season. Dumars' priorities in the summer will focus on small forwards, shooting guards and point guards.
