Can Boston snap Miami's streak?
By Joe Kaiser
The Miami Heat are on such a torrid stretch, it's getting more difficult to envision them losing again during the regular season. But if Miami is to lose, history shows it could happen tonight in Boston.
Earlier today, ESPN Stats & Info pointed out five key reasons why the Celtics have a good shot to beat the Heat tonight, but perhaps none of them were as convincing as these two:
- Miami has lost 10 games in a row in Boston, with the last five coming since LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined the team.
- Boston has been unbeatable at home since Rajon Rondo was lost for the season. The C's are 11-0 during that stretch.
If Miami can get past the Celtics and extend its streak to 23, it has an easy four-game stretch that follows: at Cleveland, vs. Detroit, vs. Charlotte and at Orlando. As we've been saying for two weeks, 27 looks like it could very much be in reach.
