Taj Gibson nearing return?
By Joe Kaiser
UPDATE: Taj Gibson (sprained MCL in left knee) is expected to make his return to the court this week, and Chicago has a pretty good idea when that will be.
According to this tweet by Nick Friedell of ESPNChicago.com, Gibson says he's feeling much butter and is going to try and play Thursday night against Portland.
Taj Gibson (sprained MCL in left knee) has missed Chicago's last nine games, but a return to the court could be near.
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau tells K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune that Gibson could be back in the lineup as soon as tonight in the Bulls game against the Denver Nuggets.
The Bulls are 4-5 without Gibson, clearly missing his energy as the primary big man off the bench. Once Gibson returns, look for Nazr Mohammed to shift back out of the rotation.
