Spoelstra not ready to rest stars

By Nick Borges

The Miami Heat now have a 11.5 game lead over the No. 2 seed in the East -- Indiana Pacers -- after winning their 22nd straight game on Sunday. Some may think head coach Erik Spoelstra should rest his stars, but that's not going to happen until the final week of the season.

"We're very aware of everything," Spoelstra told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "Our guys are playing real level minutes right now and we have depth and we're really fortunate to have a deep team. We've played 10-man rotations. I don't think LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are used to playing this few minutes, really not since their rookie years."

According to the newspaper, James' minutes (38.3) are up from last season, Wade (34.6) is playing his second-lowest amount of minutes in his career and Bosh (33.4) the lowest since his first season in the NBA.

"You get down to that last week and that's a different story," Spoelstra said. "We'll see how we feel at that point."
