10 more days for K-Mart
By Nick Borges
Kenyon Martin's 10-day contract will expire on Monday and according to Ian Begley of ESPNNewYork.com, the New York Knicks will sign him to a second and last 10-day deal on Tuesday.
Begley also reports general manager Glen Grunwald said he hopes to sign Martin to a rest-of-season deal in 11 days.
The Knicks need frontcourt help and defense, which is something Martin can provide once he improves his fitness. So far he has yet to receive any minutes from head coach Mike Woodson.
The Knicks' frontcourt did get stronger on Sunday with the return of Marcus Camby, who has bee sidelined since Jan. 10 with plantar fascia in is left foot.
