No go for Mo
By Tom Carpenter
Mo Williams said he took part in some of Thursday's practice session, but he wasn't prepared to take part in contact drills, according to NBA.com. He still has no date set for his return from thumb surgery.
"It's frustrating to a certain degree," he said. "but at the same time I have the utmost confidence and respect for our trainers and our coaching staff and our doctors, and we'll make the decision collectively. We're taking it day by day."
Williams added that he still has stiffness and lack of strength in the digit, so he has to make sure the ligaments are back to full strength before he can test it with contact in practice, much less game action. We shouldn't expect him back in the mix until at least mid-March and possibly much later than that, depending on how well his rehab goes in the coming days and weeks. He's still worth a roster stash in fantasy leagues as we head toward the playoffs and stretch run.
