Is Gortat's trade value plummeting?

By Joe Kaiser

Earlier in the season when Phoenix started to lose a lot of games, it looked like Marcin Gortat could become one of the biggest fish on the trade market this year. That may no longer be the case.

Gortat, who is signed through next season and due to earn $7.72 million in 2013-14, has seen his play fall off as of late. Over the last three games, he's managed to score just 2, 6 and 4 points and two of those games came against an Oklahoma City team that potentially may have been one of his biggest suitors. He also hasn't been the defensive force or shot-blocker that he was at the start of the season.

Anything can happen between now and Thursday's deadline, but at this point don't be surprised if the Suns hold onto Gortat and go into next season with him as their starting center.
