Kupchak refutes Howard-Rondo report
By Nick Borges
There was a report claiming the Lakers and Celtics were discussing a possible deal which would see Dwight Howard go to Boston with Rajon Rondo, out for the season due to a torn ACL, moving to the Los Angeles Lakers. Mitch Kupchak, the Lakers general manager, was quick to deny the rumor.
"I haven't talked to Danny Ainge in weeks," Kupchak told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard. "I made the statement a week or two ago that we're not going to trade Dwight Howard and that hasn't changed."
Howard said once again on Friday that Kupchak told him he won't be traded.
