Ainge unlikely to make blockbuster deal
By Nick Borges
The Boston Celtics have been mentioned in the rumor mill as a team that has interest in DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay, but those deals won't happen as Danny Ainge can't put together a package to tempt the Sacramento Kings or Memphis Grizzlies.
Ainge sat down for an interview with CSNNE and ruled out the possibility of making a blockbuster trade.
"That doesn't make a lot of sense to radically change the team when you're trying to compete to win it all," said Ainge. "We have been and will continue to look to upgrade our team, but I think it's always more unlikely that that happens than likely."
The Celtics have played well recently and currently they're on a six-game winning streak and they sit seventh in the East with a 20-17 record.
