Heat beat by cold

By Tom Carpenter

Chris Bosh missed Wednesday's game due to the flu, and apparently he ended up passing the virus along to his teammates. Per the Miami Heat's Twitter feed, Bosh, Ray Allen and Dwyane Wade all will be game-time calls for their Friday evening battle with the Los Angeles Clippers.

They appear to have varying degree of the illness, as the Heat described Bosh as having the flu, Allen as having flu-like symptoms and Wade as not feeling well.

Fantasy owners will want to check for updates as game-time nears, but all three appear to be iffy, at best, since they were absent from their morning shoot-around. If they all sit, we should see LeBron James carry an even heavier load than usual, and the likes of Mario Chalmers, Udonis Haslem, Shane Battier, Norris Cole and Chris Anderson get a bump in production.

In a side note, the Heat have signed The Birdman for the remainder of the season. He should only have sporadic fantasy value.
