Lovely feelings in Minnesota

By Nick Borges

Kevin Love spoke with the local media on Thursday after practice. It was the first Q&A since he re-broke his hand and the forward tried to paint a rosy picture regarding his feelings for the team. In December Love took the Wolves' owner and David Kahn to task over the direction of the team. His name has also been in the rumor mill as some believe he wants out, but he refuted that speculation.

"They [the fans] need to realize I love being here," Love told the Pioneer Press. "I don't know where the misconception came along. I love this team and the organization. Somewhere along the line, it just went the other way. Wholeheartedly, fans need to realize I do want to be here. I have fun being here."

Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune has an interesting take on Love's meeting with the media and he writes: "When I say forced, I don’t mean to imply that he was being insincere. But I do think he was working very hard to convince everybody that he’s glad to be back, glad to be with the team. And, in the larger sense, glad to be with the organization."

Love is hoping to return to the lineup in mid-March.
