Brandan Wright's timeline
By Joe Kaiser
It's looking more likely that Dallas PF/C Brandan Wright (left shoulder fracture) will have to miss at least some of the regular season.
“I don’t know,” Wright tells The Dallas Morning News about his availability for the Oct. 30 season-opener with Atlanta. “I can’t tell you. I’m hopeful, but we’ll see. Some stuff I can do, some stuff I can’t do. We’re moving along.”
Wright, who was resigned over the offseason to provide much-needed depth at both interior positions, tells the newspaper that since being diagnosed with the injury two weeks ago his workouts have been centered around cardio as he attempts to stay in game-shape.
Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News writes: "The problem is not expected to cost Wright a significant portion of the regular season. But it seems clear he will miss at least some time in the early stage."
As we've written about over the past few weeks, expect DeJuan Blair and Bernard James to pick up some additional playing time until Wright returns.
