Could Bynum play in Game 1?
By Nick Borges
Andrew Bynum is closing in on his preferred weight he wants to carry into the season which is a good sign as he makes his way back from the knee issues. Bynum has shown enough recently that he might be ready to play by the start of the season.
From Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon-Journal: "No one has definitively said this, but I’m getting the sense Andrew Bynum could return to the court for the season opener Oct. 30 against the Brooklyn Nets in a limited role. If not in time for the opener, soon after. ... from all accounts, Bynum looked great (during a 3-vs-3 scrimmage on Wednesday) ... The Cavs have internally discussed the merits of playing him in the preseason, but that seems unlikely."
The Cavs will continue to be very cautious with Bynum and until he's ready to start that position will go to Anderson Varejao.
