Pacers nearing deal with PG?
By Joe Kaiser
We've speculated over the last month where C.J. Watson might end up next season, and it turns out the answer may be Indiana.
Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.com tweets that a league source indicates that Watson is closing in an agreement with the Pacers.
The 29-year-old Watson averaged 6.8 points and 2.0 assists off the bench in his lone season in Brooklyn, and filled in admirably while Deron Williams was sidelined. The hope for the Pacers is that he'll be an upgrade over D.J. Augustin, who shot only 35 percent and played poorly after being signed as a free agent last summer.
If any other teams emerge in the Watson sweepstakes, we'll let you know.
