More HC candidates for Bucks

5/13/2013

UPDATE: Last week, Los Angeles Lakers assistant Steve Clifford was rumored to be a candidate for the Milwaukee Bucks' head coaching vacancy. Is that still the case?

According to by C.F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, it is. Gardner tweets, "Source confirms Lakers assistant Steve Clifford interviewing with #Bucks today. Fourth candidate to interview."

The Bucks have already interviewed Nate McMillan, Kelvin Sampson and J.B. Bickerstaff for the position, and Sam Amick of USA Today Sports reports today that former Utah coach Jerry Sloan has also met with the team and is seriously being considered. We'll let you know when more information is available.

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking for a new head coach, and their latest candidate is J.B. Bickerstaff, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

"This is Bickerstaff's second interview for a head coaching job this week. He met with Detroit general manager Joe Dumars on Tuesday," Wjonarowski wrote.

"Bickerstaff, 34, is likely to be among the coaching considerations for new Phoenix Suns general manager Ryan McDonough, league sources said."

The Bucks already have interviewed Nate McMillan and Kelvin Sampson. Wojnarowski's source said that Los Angeles Lakers assistant Steve Clifford likely will be interviewed in the near future, too.

Unfortunately, the Bucks coaching gig may not be viewed as a great landing spot for many coaches. In fact, ESPN the Magazine's Chris Broussard ranks the Bucks coaching vacancy No. 9 out of the 10 jobs available:
