UPDATE: Per Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press, the decision by the Pistons to bring in Phil Jackson as a consultant on their next coaching hire puts Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw directly in the mix.
"Jackson's involvement could benefit Pacers assistant Brian Shaw, who was once Jackson's hand-picked successor with the Lakers," he wrote. "Shaw is believed to be a candidate for the Pistons opening."
