Amar'e Stoudemire has averaged just 23.5 minutes in the 29 games in which he has taken part this season, as the New York Knicks have held firmly to their game plan of restricting him to a 30-minute cap. However, he has twice topped that number this week, playing 31:55 Monday and 30:39 Wednesday before scaling back to 28:55 last night. Coach Mike Woodson had said previously that the minutes restriction would last all season, but he admitted Thursday that the cap will be tweaked as the regular season winds down, according to the New York Post's Marc Berman.
