Does Mack have a future in Atlanta?

May, 7, 2014
Mike Scott may have been the most pleasant surprise on the Atlanta Hawks this season, but Shelvin Mack worked his way into the discussion with a very solid season backing up Jeff Teague.

The former Butler star and second-round pick in 2011 finished the season with averages of 7.5 points, 3.7 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 0.8 3-pointers per game, and, like Scott, is due to become a restricted free agent this summer.

“I would like to be back,” Mack told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution earlier this week. “I’ll continue to work and improve my game and let my agent and everyone else deal with that. Of course (I want to return). I feel like it’s a great situation for me.”
