According to ESPNChicago.com, the Bulls expect Derrick Rose to take part in 5-on-5 practices next week when the players return from the All-Star break. This is good news as Rose recovers from his ACL surgery last May and the team is hoping to have the point guard back before the end of the season.

"We've always been feeling that way," says executive vice president John Paxson. "That's been our hope. But you never know. Let's face it, every injury and every rehab is different."

It seemed almost a forgone conclusion that Rose would return this season, however lately the narrative has changed and there's more talk that he won't play until the start of 2013-14.
