Will the Grizzlies become sellers?

Even before the news Monday that Quincy Pondexter will likely miss the rest of the 2013-14 season due to a stress fracture in his foot, the Memphis Grizzlies were a team on the verge of going from potential buyers to possible sellers this season.

With Marc Gasol (knee) out of action for the foreseeable future and Tony Allen (hip) also missing time recently, the Grizzlies' undermanned lineup hasn't looked anything like that of a championship contender, relying on guys like Nick Calathes and Jon Leuer for extended minutes. At 9-10 on the season, it's already evident that making the playoffs could be a challenge in the ridiculously competitive Western Conference this season.

Now the Grizzlies face some tough decisions, and it's very possible they could become sellers -- not buyers -- in the weeks and months ahead.
