October 31 is a key date for many players in the NBA each season as that is the final day to extend the contracts and pick up third-and-fourth-year team options for some first round picks. No player has been more in the rumor mill regarding his fourth-year option than Derrick Williams as he'll make $6.33 million in 2014-15 if the Minnesota Timberwolves exercise it. President of basketball ops Flip Saunders spoke to the Star Tribune on Wednesday and it sounds like he already knows which way he's leaning.
