The Orlando Magic generated a $17.81 million traded player exception on August 10, 2012 as part of the four-team trade that sent Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers. Teams have 365 days to use the exception and Saturday was the one-year anniversary, however under league rules they have until Monday to use it as trade exceptions don't expire on weekends.
