How Suns fix their shooting woes

August, 2, 2013
One of the biggest reasons for Phoenix's struggles last season was the team's inability to shoot the basketball. Only three teams finished with a worse true shooting percentage (51.2 percent) than that of the Suns, and only two teams fared worse from 3-point range (33.0 percent). That's the bad news.

The good news is they have a new head coach in Jeff Hornacek who knows first-hand what it takes to improve as a shooter in the NBA. While it may take acquiring a couple 3-point specialists in the future to make Phoenix a truly dangerous team from the perimeter, Hornacek has a plan in place to improve the shooting on the team's current roster.
