Ledo's bargain contract

As much as some might question Dallas' decisions in free agency this summer, giving big contracts to the likes of Monta Ellis and Jose Calderon and signing a number of journeymen like Samuel Dalembert, Wayne Ellington and their own Brandan Wright, the Mavericks may have struck gold with what they managed to do via the draft.

Not only did they land their an athletic point guard in Shane Larkin who can learn under Calderon and ease his way into the NBA in the years ahead, they managed to add Ricky Ledo in a second-round trade. Ledo, a 6-foot-7 shooting guard who never played a minute of college ball, has more upside than many first-rounders and the contract he signed on Wednesday could make him one of the league's best bargains in the not-too-distant future.
