Ownership decided to drop Bryan Colangelo as president and general manager of the Toronto Raptors in favor of Masai Ujiri after 2012-13 and the move turned out well as the team has a chance to advance to the second round of the playoffs. The team was floundering a bit to start the season , but took off after the decision was made to deal Rudy Gay. All of the incoming players have done well to backup those who were already on the roster, which has been a key. While the trade by Ujiri has been a key, most of the players and head coach (Dwane Casey) brought in by Colangelo have been the major reasons the team has played so well. With that in mind, Colangelo could be in charge of another NBA team in the near future.
