The New York Knicks and forward Metta World Peace did not mesh this season and as a result they parted way via a buyout. World Peace agreed to give up most of his $1.6 million salary next season to join the free agent market, but has not found a team willing to sign him this season. World Peace wanted out as head coach Mike Woodson reportedly would not allow him to be a leader on the team.
