With the Milwaukee Brewers and Toronto Blue Jays both still on the market for a closer, all fingers continue to point to Jonathan Papelpon of the Philadelphia Phillies as a potential solution. However, both the reliever's large contract and the Phillies' return demands are hampering any progress on a trade.

No Papelbon deal on horizon?

Earlier this week, there seemed to be some progress on a potential trade that would see the Milwaukee Brewers ending up with closer Jonathan Papelbon of the Philadelpia Phillies. However, after those initial reports, there doesn't seem to have been any movement towards a successful handshake between all involved parties.
