Role for Ramirez by the Bay
By Doug Mittler
The San Francisco Giants have agreed to terms with Ramon Ramirez, bringing back the reliever who pitched for them in 2010 and 2011, reports Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com.
The 31-year-old Ramirez posted a 4.24 ERA in 48 games for the Mets in 2012. The righthander was dealt to the Mets prior to the 2012 season along with Andres Torres in exchange for Angel Pagan. All three are now back in San Francisco.
In his new role by the Bay, Ramirez figures to serve as the righthanded middle reliever behind set-up man Santiago Casilla.
