Interest in Torrealba
By Doug Mittler
Yorvit Torrealba bounced around with three different clubs in 2012 and hit a mere .233, but the 34-year-old catcher remains in demand.
MLB.com’s Thomas Harding says the Rockies have offered a minor league deal to Torrealba, who was the starting catcher on the 2007 Colorado that won the National League pennant.
Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com says the Reds are among the teams looking at the Venezuelan backstop. Torrealba was with the Rangers, Blue Jays and Brewers last season and is a career .257 hitter.
