The next move in DC
By Doug Mittler
The strong bond between the Washington Nationals and agent Scott Boras is well-documented, the latest example being last week's two-year deal with free agent reliever Rafael Soriano. Could Boras try to peddle righthander Kyle Lohse to the Nats as well?
The Nationals lack a left-handed specialist in the bullpen and one rival executive suggests to Ken Rosenthal the club could sign Lohse and move left-hander Ross Detwiler to the bullpen.
Rosenthal, however, says the Nats still like Detwiler as a starter and are more likely to sign Javier Vazquez, whose price tag is substantially lower than that of Lohse, to add rotation depth.
