Interest in McClung?

By Doug Mittler

We all know that Kyle Lohse is still waiting patiently for a team to meet his price, but the list of available free agent starters starters beyond the righthander has essentially thinned out.

There is Chris Young and Roy Oswalt, both of whom bring up questions of durability. One possibility at this point could be righthander Seth McClung, who has thrown for teams recently, tweets Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com.

The 32-year-old McLung last pitched in the majors in 2009 with Milwaukee and spent last season in Triple-A between the Brewers and Cubs, posting an ugly 6.35 ERA in 23 games. Any team that signs McClung will undoubtedly have him start 2013 in Triple-A as well.
