Tribe interested in Bourn?
By Doug Mittler
The Cleveland Indians are among the teams that might have interest in Michael Bourn if the price tag for the free agent outfielder were to drop substantially, tweets ESPN The Magazine’s Buster Olney.
The Indians already have committed four years and $56 million to Nick Swisher this offseason, calling into question how much they will be willing to spend. But like any team, the Tribe will listen if they can land a bargain.
The Mets have been mentioned as a possible destination, but one roadblock there is draft pick compensation. The Indians might be more willing to ante up for Bourn since their 2013 first-round pick is protected.
