Los Angeles Dodgers third-base coach Tim Wallach became the latest candidate to interview for the Detroit Tigers' managerial opening on Friday, reports Ramona Shelburne of ESPNLosAngeles.com. Wallace is one of many names being mentioned as Jim Leyland's possible replacement, and follows Tigers' hitting coach Lloyd McClendon as one of two who have already interviewed for the job.

Ozzie Guillen, Dusty Baker and Texas pitching coach Mike Maddux are others who have been linked to the Tigers' job, but our own Buster Olney writes today that Wallach may be the frontrunner among candidates outside Detroit's organization.
