Back in 1977, during Reggie Jackson's first season with the New York Yankees, he and manager Billy Martin got into a heated exchange in the dugout after Martin pulled him from his spot in the outfield in the middle of the game. The rift between the two never quite healed, and even though Jackson went on to hit three home runs in Game 6 of the World Series to help lead the team to a title, by the middle of the next season, Martin was gone.
