Crasnick: Webb drawing interest

Several National League East teams have an interest in Brandon Webb and are keeping tabs on the 2006 NL Cy Young winner, reports ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick, first via Twitter. The Phillies, Nationals, Mets and Marlins are among the clubs monitoring Webb's progress during his ongoing quest to return from shoulder problems.


Crasnick continues:


"Webb, 33, logged a 56-23 record and made three straight All-Star teams with Arizona from 2006 through 2008, but hasn't pitched in the majors since 2009 because of arm problems. He is working out near his home in Phoenix and is expected to hold an open audition for clubs sometime in the next few weeks.
