The New York Yankees may have found the right-handed hitting outfielder GM Brian Cashman told ESPNNewYork.com they were after. The club has inked veteran Juan Rivera to battle Matt Diaz and perhaps Russ Canzler.

The Yankees, who have three left-handed hitting outfielders on the roster, also do not have a clear answer at designated hitter with the losses of Raul Ibanez and Andruw Jones. Once Alex Rodriguez returns from hip surgery, a rotation of A-ROD, Kevin Youkilis and Mark Teixeira is likely.
