Wilmer Flores ended up being the butt of the joke on Saturday, albeit indirectly, as New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson prepared to present Cal Ripken Jr. with an award. As Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports, Alderson quipped, "Mets fans have been waiting all winter for me to introduce a shortstop."
