Nova looking for a big
By Matt Giles
A few weeks ago, there were whispers that Villanova, in need of a post player for their 2013 class, had expressed interest in former Missouri commit Tyrek Coger. Coger had reopened his recruitment in mid-Janaury, professing he felt himself 'stop working a little' following his commitment, and hinted he still needed to improve upon his game. At the end of January, Villanova reportedly went to visit Coger at his high school.
After proclaiming the Wildcats were at the top of his list, word began to spread that Villanova had also offered Coger a scholarship, a claim that was swiftly shot down as false. Now, it would appear that Nova has moved on from Coger and are concentrating their interest in another 2013 big.
Gavin Schilling moved from Chicago to Las Vegas to gain more recruiting exposure, and since he trekked to Findlay Prep, the big has been closely pursued by some high major programs. It was recently reported that Schilling is planning to visit the Philadelphia-area campus, and has narrowed his choices to Nova, Michigan State, UCLA, and Minnesota.
