Arizona's main defensive weakness
By Joe Kaiser
Cal burned Arizona with the 3-pointer in its upset win over the Wildcats on Sunday, and that's been an ongoing issue with Sean Miller's squad this season.
The Golden Bears went 6-for-13 from beyond the arc, four of them coming from hot-shooting junior Allen Crabbe, as Arizona suffered its first bad loss of the season.
According to KenPom.com, defending the 3-ball has been one of Arizona's biggest issues on defense this season. The Wildcats are allowing opponents to shoot 35.3 percent from long range, which ranks No. 248 in the nation.
At least in the case with Cal, though, Miller's man-to-man defense limited them to only 13 attempts which helped minimize the damage.
