Otto Porter's improvement

By Joe Kaiser

There's a reason why NBA scouts are so high on Georgetown forward Otto Porter; he's improved in virtually every area this season.

The sophomore out of Missouri is a prospect on the rise, ESPN's Jay Bilas writes today, and he's expected to be chosen somewhere in the NBA's draft lottery if he leaves the Hoyas program after the season.

At the next level, Porter projects to be a Nicolas Batum or Kawhi Leonard type of glue player who has the polish to immediately help a team in all areas of the game. Here's Bilas with more.

Jay Bilas
Porter has improved across the board
"Porter simply knows how to play, and does so many good things out on the floor. He has a high-level understanding of the game and rarely forces anything. Porter is good in the post, very good on the offensive glass and is a long-armed, wiry defender who is deceptively strong and versatile enough to guard multiple positions. Porter has improved his scoring, rebounding, assists and steals from last season; this campaign, he is averaging 15 points, 8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 51 percent from the field, 46 percent from 3-point range and 72 percent from the foul line."
