Former Aggie lands in Big West

By Matt Giles

During the early days of December last season, Utah State coach Stew Morrill announced Steven Thornton, a forward who had been described as 'one of the [team's] most athletic players,' started against BYU that season and was clearly a player Morrill and his staff believed they could continue to build the program around. However, Thornton transferred closer to his Valencia, CA hometown, and ended up at Citrus College, a junior college in the Sunshine State.

According to Brad Winton of Juco Recruiting, Thornton has landed back in the DI ranks: he committed to Cal State Northridge. Thornton could provide a major impact in his first season at Northridge; a well-round big, Thorton is ranked among the top ten of California jucos in scoring, steals, and blocks.
