"Last season, the Tigers were one of the biggest disappointments in the NCAA tournament, losing in the round of 64 to 15th-seeded Norfolk State. But this season's Tigers are built for March. They have the best playmaker in college basketball in Phil Pressey as well as the depth and maturity to play through an off night by one player. The game starts with Pressey, but the addition of Alex Oriakhi, an experienced low-post player who grabs a rebound every three minutes, and the return of Laurence Bowers, a 4 who is hard to keep off the offensive glass and can shoot the 3 and drive it to the basket, gives the Tigers an inside-out combination that is tough to match up with. Keion Bell, Jabari Brown and Earnest Ross bring versatility to complement Pressey. Bell is an active, slashing wing who is often the beneficiary of Pressey's vision in transition, Brown has deep range and can create shots for himself off the bounce and Ross is nearly a 40 percent 3-point shooter who has the strength to play the 4 if needed. If Missouri commits on the defensive end, it will be a team you will not want to play come March."
