More time for KU frosh?

By Matt Giles

Andrew White III only played one minute during Kansas' loss to Oklahoma State, but there is perhaps a chance the freshman -- who has largely only seen time in reserve minutes -- will play more during the second half of the Jayhawks' Big 12 schedule. White scored six points in that minute, connecting on one three and three free throws and closing an eight point gap to just two points in the final thirty seconds.

In his post game press conference, Bill Self was pleased with White's play: "At least when we put Andrew [White III] in there at the end, he got us six points in a minute. Nobody else on the team was doing that. We definitely need to tweak some things."

It will be interesting to see if the guard experiences a bit more playing time after this strong, but brief, showing. If he can provide solid minutes for Self and force opponents to respect his outside touch, Kansas will have added another intriguing element to their offensive profile.
