Oregon now an option for Gordon?

By Luke Lapinski

The recruiting race for Aaron Gordon (San Jose, Calif./Archbishop Mitty) continues to heat up. The five-star recruit is ranked No. 7 among all prospects in the 2013 class -- and No .3 among uncommitted players. Instead of trimming schools from his list of finalists, however, he may actually be adding one.

It's been widely accepted that Kentucky, Washington and Arizona are the three programs with a legitimate shot at landing Gordon. But Eric Bossi tweets that Oregon is back in the mix as well. The Ducks already have a power forward lined up to join the club next season in Jordan Bell, though Dana Altman would obviously make room if Gordon chose to play his basketball in Eugene. In fact, he'd become the only ESPN 100 prospect in Oregon's 2013 class so far -- and he's a top ten talent. Assuming Gordon really is taking a good long look at the Ducks, one has to think their impressive run through this season so far is one factor that has at least caught the eye of the player considered the best high school prospect in the west.
