2014 guard visiting Ann Arbor
By Joe Kaiser
Michigan is set to host a guard for the class of 2014 tonight when the Wolverines take on Northwestern at the Crisler Center.
According to UMHoops.com, rising 6-foot-7 point guard A.J. Turner (Warren, Mich./De La Salle) will visit Ann Arbor. This comes after months of interest from the Wolverines, who have yet to officially extend a scholarship offer.
Turner has a little bit of that Kyle Anderson look to him, though it remains to be seen if his stock will rise anywhere close to where it did for the UCLA freshman. Just last week, he told UMHoops.com that he holds offers from Arizona State, UMass, Northern Illinois, Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Dayton, Oakland, U of D, Robert Morris and Penn.
UM coach John Beilein has been his primary recruiter to this point, so it'll be interesting to see if the visit tonight leads to an offer from the Wolverines' head coach. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further developments.
